Poetry on Sunday: Lost Train

Lost train

Photo: Iris Seltenrijch

I have lost track

You have held me back

I am a disrupted train alongside the railroad

But don't worry, no passengers present, just me

You took over the steering wheel while I was fighting back

It ended in a loosing battle

One where I had failed to navigate the expected track

I want to blame you for not heading me in the wanted direction

But to be fair

I am the one that lost track

The one that could not hold back

You just took over the steering wheel

That is how I lost track

And now all I want is to have you
