Poetry on Sunday: Ocean Blue

Ocean Blue

Photo: Iris Seltenrijch

The colour of the long lost waves

Waves that have seen faces in unknown places

Every face tells a hidden story, a hidden truth

The ocean is a friend of many

A shoulder to cry on

A place to unite in white

A heaven for burned ones

A home for those with tales

A danger as Mother Nature’s force

She knows the various stories of faces

in unknown places

Stories that changed

Stories that remained untold

Stories that are absorbed in the ocean

In the colour of the long lost faces
